We very successfully stood up an eCommerce platform- including substantially growing sales- and now we need to take it to the next level. We’re not in eCommerce to improve margin rate; it’s critical to us as a platform for new product launches. As a product-based company, launching and growing sales from new products is our lifeblood, so this role will have regular exposure to company leadership and play a key role in overall company strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Double company’s primary ecommerce store sales while maintaining profit margin. Develop eCommerce store concept for another company division and execute changes to the website to support it.
- In partnership with Sales and Marketing leaders, develop and execute the online marketing strategy across all forms of marketing including trade promotions, display ads, Amazon Advertising platform, retargeting ads, email, paid search, etc. Mange and implement SEO strategies and initiatives.
- Work with Marketing Manager to Build a marketing calendar to plan all marketing campaigns, communicate this calendar with distributors. Gather creative for ads, distribute marketing assets, and refine ads based on trends.
- Coordinate extensively with Marketing and Product Managers to ensure:
-Overall strategies and campaigns align with broader distributor marketing and individual product marketing plans
-Customer segments and targeting are consistent
-1:1 strategy and external e-mail and direct mailing lists are efficiently executed and do not conflict
-Organic and paid social is cohesively planned
-Paid social and programmatic programs are planned to optimize performance and ensure we are not bidding for the same engagements
- Drive the development of the product strategy (and product channel mix) for eCommerce platforms based on customer needs, company strategy, portfolio vision and e-commerce strategy.
- Produce, analyze, and deliver reporting on digital marketing KPIs including, but not limited to, revenue, cost, transactions, ROAS, ROI, traffic, CPC, CPA, CR, and overall growth and health of digital marketing channels. Make recommendations to improve then execute.
- Define cost per acquisition targets and lifetime value models; build acquisition and retention programs to achieve the defined benchmarks.
- Assist in developing and monitoring eCommerce budgets and develop the business case to secure incremental investments based on historical program performance.
- Provide direction to our internal marketing agency resources on collateral needs.
- Evaluate competitor positioning in the market to identify points of differentiation and opportunities
- Assist in CRM strategy, execution and reporting.
- Developing strong relationships with distributor partners by providing leadership and guidance on all aspects of their online stores. Work hand-in-hand with partners to generate and advance store initiatives.
- Develop and lead subordinates and peers to their fullest short and long-term career potential.
- Maintaining strong knowledge of ecommerce and digital marketing trends. Leveraging that knowledge to investigate, recommend and implement solutions that achieve store goals.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience managing and driving digital business; preferably with industrial products
- Experience analyzing website analytics data
- Experience working with IT to drive site development
- Experience in working with external agencies and internal service providers including project management, marketing projects, 1:1 marketing, digital media planning and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing; MBA Preferred
- Strong analytical background and mindset
- Demonstrated success in delivering against business objectives
- Understanding of the evolving digital landscape and how to incorporate that knowledge into building a business online
- Advanced experience with standard MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
