PROGRAM: IRAD

Looking for a experienced Electrical Engineer. Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Shall generate and implement the architecture for a method to cancel out dynamic local magnetic disturbances (e.g. weapons, vehicles, underground power lines, buildings, etc) that affect an array of low-cost MEMS magnetometers spread across a 2-inch cubic space. The solution can use mathematics or machine learning to determine where the disturbance is coming from and adjust for the disturbance. The output shall be a single vector with a value that correlates to the confidence in the vector. The final solution shall run on an embedded platform and be programmed in C. The progress will be tracked in JIRA system that is run in an agile format. Actalent will deliver Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and final Technical Data Package (TDP) of the solution.

Shall design and program a position and orientation sensing CCA that utilizes the following types of components (model numbers given as examples):

• Nordic Dual Core ARM Processor (NRF5340)
• MEMSIC Magnetometer(s) (MMC5983MA)
• Inertial Measuring Unit (IMU), TDK ICM-45686
• Time of Flight Sensors, TDK ICU-10201
• GNSS Receiver, UBlox ZED-F9P
• Pressure Sensor, TDK ICP-20100 The Seller shall provide for an updated schematic and layout using the newer sensors, similar to the layouts provided on SIMRES001 and SIMRES002.

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic Must Have Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
• Fluency in PCB design or CCA design, and C embedded programming
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance

Nice to have skills/qualifications:

• Experience in Zuken CR5000/CR8000
• Digital design experience
• Willing to Travel
