This is a full-time, on-site position. Successful candidates will be asked to demonstrate their micro-soldering skills in the interview process.
Summary
Manufacturing process development for LifeLens Technologies’s non-invasive physiologic monitoring products.
Essential Functions:
- Performs and assists in research and development of new components, assemblies and processes as a member of the Product Development Team.
- Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype medical devices, process development activities, electrical circuitry, and test equipment.
- Responsible for compliance with quality system procedures and all regulatory requirements.
- Participates in onsite manufacturing prototyping/re-work/test of electronic medical equipment used for diagnostic or treatment purposes.
- Performs electronic assembly and SMT to meet production demands.
Competencies
- Intermediate to advanced skills on assembly, test, and electronic circuit assemblies required.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in microelectronic soldering and rework, preferably in rework of HDI circuits and micro soldering under a microscope required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of machine shop practices and operations.
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment including PM, calibration, and set up.
- Medical device assembly
- Experience working within an ISO or FDA-type design control environment a plus
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of related technical experience; technical training, degree and/or certification(s); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced soldering skills required
Physical Demands
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Advanced fine motor skills are also required.
Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but candidates must be available during ‘core’ work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work at least 40 hours a week.
