We are seeking a
Senior Financial Analyst to join the
Financial Planning and Analysis team (FP&A): The role will span across Allianz Holdings (Allianz Personal and Allianz Commercial) with a focus on expense management across the organisation. This will suit a fully qualified accountant looking to progress their career within financial services and be part of a global organisation.
Your key Responsibilities will include:
- Refine, enhance and manage the monthly and quarterly expense cycle with focus on consolidation of the UK performance and Group deliverables
- Developing and providing regular value add management information to senior stakeholders and Group colleagues to aid decision making
- Manage and coordinate the annual expense budgeting Plan cycle and regular forecasting
- Challenging the business on the robustness of Plan and forecast assumptions to ensure financial performance is optimised
- Drive further business insights through expense benchmarking, including review of competitor results, market development and legislative changes
- Support the wider FP&A with Group requests, analysis and consolidation support across Allianz UK Group
Skills & Experience
- Insurance and/or FP&A background
- IT literate including MS office
- Strong analysis skills and interpretation of data
- Strong Excel including pivot tables & lookups
- PowerPoint / presentation software
- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and insurance P&L (knowledge of IFRS 17/9 would be advantageous)
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Highly numerate with attention to detail
- Proven ability to consistently meet tight timescales and deadlines.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated team player
- Willingness to challenge and critically analyse information
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree (numeracy-based) or equivalent.
- Qualified Accountant with minimum 2 years Post Qualified Experience (essential)
- Excellent written and spoken English
