About Us:
It is an exciting time to join LNT. We are the UK’s largest care home developer, with significant history within the care home development and operating sectors.
This is a key role within the Group, where the post holder will assist the finance leadership in delivering the longer-term strategy in addition to providing the daily financial rigour as required. The role will be working across all business units, primarily for the Group Financial Controller and Construction Financial Controller.
The position will ensure the finance professional is engaged in the strategic and operational debates whilst being able to impress senior management and stakeholders by providing high quality financial rigour and commercial interpretation on a coherent & consistent basis.
The view is that this is a long-term hire who can develop further upwards.
Key responsibilities including but not being limited to:
The position will very much start off as a broad finance role, with primary responsibility for:
- Income analysis, challenge & review of income assumptions/drawdowns vs stage progress on site and feed the outputs into the Group cashflow
- Broader work involving cashflow modelling and analysis
- Assist with the financial oversight of the new Danforth Care operating business – i.e. regular interaction with the Divisional FD, supporting the Group FC and Group FD
- Assist in the preparation of the consolidation for the group
- Management Information – review and/or preparation
- Financial modelling & forecasting for the group
- Oversight of the annual statutory accounts preparation and managing the external audit
- Tax queries and liaison with the tax advisors
- Supporting key stake holders within the organisation providing financial and technical support
- Ensure robust financial controls & processes are established, well understood and being followed across the finance team
- Supervision of a team
- Preparation / review of key monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Participating in cross functional projects which improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department
- Undertake a role in corporate transactions
- Project work – system changes, banking analysis etc
- Preparation of materials (presentation packs etc) as part of investor relations work
- Compilation & preparation of information for Board Packs and other key financial information
- May assist with LNT Holdings projects – i.e. Ginetta/automotive related project work (if sufficient capacity)
Requirements:
- Suitable for a newly / recently qualified accountant, through to someone operating at Manager level in practice
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified – preferably from the Big 4 or Top 10 with 1st time passes
- Be able to demonstrate strong progression in their career to date
- Experience working with entrepreneurial businesses
- Commercially and analytically astute
- Demonstrate a strong technical competency in financial accounting
- Team management/supervisory experience
- Comfortable in a collegiate, open and meritocratic environment
- Is prepared to be office based 5 days per week
