Our facility in Miamisburg, Ohio is home to our Defense and Aerospace Business Unit with strategic leadership and administration responsibilities for the global defense organization. This site specializes in the design, manufacture and test of energetic safety systems including electronic safe, arm and fire (ESAF) devices and firing modules (FMs), ignition safety devices (ISDs), custom energetics, and Blue Chip™ detonators and serves a variety of high-performance applications including precision munitions, tactical missiles, launch vehicles, and strategic missiles.

Excelitas Technologies has an immediate need for a Senior Financial Analyst/Accountant in Miamisburg, Ohio. A background in government contracting and manufacturing experience is highly recommended. The Sr. Financial Analyst/Accountant will join the Finance team in Miamisburg on a mix of General Ledger and Financial Analysis of the site’s finances. This position reports directly to the Finance Director in Miamisburg.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leads the monthly close process, insuring that all necessary transactions are completed;

• Prepares information for month end accruals and reserves;

• Project performance and margin analysis;

• Quarterly and annual forecasting;

• Compilation and Analysis of Quarterly E&O Reserve;

• Compilation of Annual and Quarterly Capital Spending Plan;

• Compilation of Monthly Sales and Margin Report;

• Assist with Government (DCAA/DCMA) audits;

• Account Analysis;

• Standard Costing Analysis;

• Pricing and Proposal Analysis;

• Support Month / Qtr. /Year End close & Annual Audit;

• Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting;

• 5 - 7 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing facility;

• Strong analytical skills are a MUST;

• SAP experience is preferred;

• Must be highly self-motivated and eager to increase knowledge base;

• Knowledge of government contracting preferred (FAR, and Cost Accounting Standards);

• Expert level spreadsheet skills using MS Excel;

• High degree of professionalism;

• Ability to complete ambiguous and complex tasks;

• Strong organizational skills;

• Must be comfortable in a high volume, fast paced, dynamic environment with strong ability to multitask.
