Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Senior Flight Test Engineer in Eglin AFB, FL. The prospective candidate will provide Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) flight test engineering for ground and flight test operations in support of SOCOM Armed Overwatch and Special Operations C-130 Programs.

Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will provide Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) flight test engineering for ground and flight test operations in support of SOCOM Special Operations Armed Overwatch and C-130 Programs. Tasks will include coordination and execution of pre-flight and post-flight activities to ensure aircraft's readiness for successful test execution, to include issuance, and closure of documentation relating to work performed on the aircraft, clearance for flight (aircraft and hardware/software subsystems), safety coordination process, and coordination of aircraft modifications. Position requires control and tracking of aircraft configuration, coordinating and staging of support equipment, developing and maintaining aircraft test schedules, and coordinating with other organizations for successful test execution. Related skills include:
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. For this particular position, an active Secret security clearance, with a current background investigation is required.
- Experience designing and building test plans, ground and flight test cards, final reports, Test and Evaluation Master Plans
- Knowledge of installed aircraft systems/subsystems and support equipment
- Knowledge of avionics/mission systems, munitions systems and comm/radar systems
- Knowledge of OSD and Air Force T&E policies

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (electrical, computer, aeronautical, or equivalent)
- 15+ years’ experience w/ Air Force aircraft Development Test & Evaluation (DT&E)
- DAWIA Level I and II certification (T&E)
- Above average written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated planning, coordination and execution skills on previous Light Attack, C-130/MC-130/AC-130, or similar programs.
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree (electrical, computer, aeronautical, or equivalent)- USAF Test Pilot School graduate
- 20+ years’ total experience in Flight Test w/ 15+ years experience in DT&E
- SPRDE Systems Engineering Level 1
- DAWIA Level I certification (PM)
Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required
