UnspecifiedRaytheon IIS is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Test Engineer who will be responsible for integrating and testing scripts to automate System COTS configurations in complex server environments. These environments, a heterogeneous mix of servers, workstations, and custom hardware, provide the backbone for the operational system of a critical, strategic national asset. The ideal candidate would be responsible for implementation and test of automation scripts utilizing Python, Ruby, PowerShell, and/or others. The candidate will be a self-starter, have an engineering background and mindset, and be able to troubleshoot complex problems.
NOTE: This position is required to be on site, however some Hybrid support may be performed. The ideal candidate must be Local and able and willing to drive into the Raytheon location in Aurora CO to support design test and selloff. Additionally, support for the project may require travel (<10%) to support at the customer facilities in Boulder Colorado, Buckley AFB (Aurora CO), or Schriever AFB (CO Springs).
Security Clearance requirements:
An active and in-scope Secret clearance U.S. security clearance
Required Skills:
- Strong scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)
- Experience with Linux System Administration
- Experience with containerization such as Kubernetes, Docker
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible (preferred), Puppet, SaltStack, Fabric or similar products for O/S builds, software installation and configuration management
- Hands-on experience with virtualization tools and cloud computing, either private (VMware, OpenStack) or public (AWS) Systems integration experience
- Understanding of CI/CD development/maintenance/troubleshooting with automation servers (Jenkins) in all phases of a DevOps pipeline
- Ability to troubleshoot complex configuration problems or system issues
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both written and oral
- Security Plus Certification or ability to obtain in 90 days
Desired Skills:
- Experience with design, installation and test of COTS Infrastructures
- Understanding of DevSecOps concepts
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)
- Understanding of Change Management processes - Version Control of software and code - GIT, CVS
- An active and in-scope Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. security clearance
- Familiarity with security/vulnerability tools
Required Education and Experience:
Typically requires a BA/BS degree in Science, Technology Engineering or Math (STEM) with emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology and 5 years of relatable experience.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
