Are you currently a Lead or Senior Technician at a Low-Voltage Integration firm in the residential or commercial space? We desire highly skilled and qualified hands-on installation technicians with experience around lighting control, shading audio video, networks and automation (Crestron/Savant/C4). You should be familiar with and operate in all phases of a construction environment from Rough-In, Trim, Final, and Service. You will be able to read plan sets and install the infrastructure cabling, mount the devices, commission systems and if you have the ability to program - even better!

JOB SUMMARY:

The Technician installs residential automation systems, including AV, home theater, climate control, lighting, motorized shades/drapes, network and voice AI. Technicians, in conjunction with Senior Techs and Project Managers, ensure that products are correctly installed and best practices are followed.

Hourly Pay: $35/hr to $45/hr (Based on Experience and knowledge)

Location:

• Most work is located in the Washington DC and Northern VA area.
• Must come to 9051 Red Branch Road, Columbia Maryland 21045
• Must have reliable transportation to/from office location.
• Company will provide a work vehicle (Valid DL & Clean Record Required - NO exceptions!!)

Schedule:

• Hours Per Week: +40 Hours Per Week
• Days Per Week: Monday to Friday
• Hours Per Day: +8hrs/day
• Starting Time: 8am

AV TECHNICIANS

We are now looking to hire full-time, Residential AV technicians at various skill levels to focus on motorized shading, lighting control, networking, and more.

RESIDENTIAL

The Residential AV Space is our primary focus. Lighting and Shading makes up a good portion of our work. We specialize and focus on custom home projects from the “ground up” and find ourselves working from the very beginning (framing) to the absolute end (client handoff) of high-end custom homes. Preparation, organization, and communication are a necessary step when planning for the length and size of contracts we’re working on. We specialize in projects that include all aspects of what is expected for high end homes today including Audio/Video, Lighting, Shading & Security (Life Safety & Surveillance). Our projects vary in size and scope, from small to very large projects.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to Read and interpret construction documentation.
• Maintain a standard of appearance and behavior that reflects SmartTouchUSA’s high-level of professionalism.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Work with colleagues, contractors and clients to ensure procedures are followed, correct materials are available, project timelines are adhered to, and clients are satisfied.
• Successfully execute AV install projects from rough-in phase through the finish phase including preparing the project space, running and terminating cabling, setting-up local area networks, and installing devices, hanging TVs, installing speakers, hanging shades, etc.
• Follow safety practices and procedures, including job site maintenance and cleanliness procedures.
• Accurately document work and report back to managers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
