Who are we hiring?
MSG is looking for a Senior Manager Production to join a groundbreaking show production department based in Los Angeles, reporting to the Sr. Director of Production, working closely with Creative, Design, Venue Ops, and Sales teams. As the central creative and technical production team for all MSG Sphere Atrium projects, we strive to create world-class experiences at an unprecedented scale from the moment guests walk through the doors of Sphere. The Manger Production will be responsible for delivering complex projects around the production and programming of the Sphere Atrium space. The Senior Manager Production must be a creative thinker and ambitious problem-solver, and will be responsible for the conceptualization and production of Atrium guest experiences across residencies, attractions, and corporate events. They are required to manage all aspects of this workstream including production design, vendor relationships, and budget management from budget creation to tracking to reporting. Critical to this role is having the ability speak creatively and technically in equal measure. Excellent time-management skills, deep industry knowledge, taking tasks to completion, and smooth style of communication are critical. Must be collaborative and comfortable with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Production, and works closely with other key production, creative, technical and executive staff. This position requires a versatile experience base in production and project management processes, and ideally, a background and/or knowledge of live entertainment production and technology.

What will you do?
- Play a central role in production design for key audience moments in their Atrium experience across the core Sphere Experience, 4-5 musical residencies, attractions, and corporate events.
- Responsible for the execution of assets to effectively communicate production concepts and build.
- Work with internal and external creative and production teams to deliver quality content to on-time completion in alignment with approved timelines, budget, deliverables and scope.
- Provide budget tracking and reporting throughout project workstreams.
- Will be responsible for managing vendor sourcing and relationships, including defining specifications and deliverables for project build, working closely with procurement teams on negotiating and executing contracts, monitoring and approving payments, and maintaining an ongoing understanding of vendor capacity and capabilities.
- Work cross-functionally across the organization to ensure project needs are being met, and interdependencies are identified and tracked.
- Proactively identify project risks and dependencies and communicate these to the appropriate project lead.
What do you need to succeed?
- BA/BS in media, IT, business or equivalent practical experience; advanced education is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience. Extensive understanding of show technology a must, with experience producing large-scale (10K+ audience/guests per showing) live theatrical productions, installations, activations, or events.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with ease under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated expertise in planning, budgeting and project management. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management software tools a must.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with business stakeholders and senior management.
- Seasoned professional able to work calmly under pressure and/or challenging conditions with individuals from multiple departments and roles spanning from entry-level to Executive Management.
- The role requires a self-directed “project-minded” work ethic helping to establish the guest experience from the moment they enter Sphere.
- This role requires a high degree of organization, project management, and indirect personnel managing for high performance and goal setting.
