Senior Nutrition Cook

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma or equivalent, required.

2. Formal or on-the-job training in institutional food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen operations, required.

3. Knowledge and use of standardized master recipes, required.

4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, required.

5. ServSafe certification, preferred or ability to obtain following hire.

6. Must possess ability to physically perform job assignments, including, but not limited

to lifting a minimum of 40 pounds, bending and standing.

7. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

8. Must successfully pass all agency-required background checks.

9. Must be sympathetic to the goals of a Community Action Agency.

WAGE

$17.00/per plus full agency fringe benefits

Fringe benefits include, but are not limited to, four-day workweek, health insurance, annual time, sick time and paid holidays

WORK LOCATION

Deckerville

SCHEDULE

Mondays through Wednesdays, 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Thursdays, 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide primary oversight, leadership and accountability for Senior Nutrition kitchen operations and staff including, but not limited to, training, food preparation, food stocking and storage, inventory control, quality control, food handling, sanitation, scheduling, evaluations and coordination of duties.

2. Maintain accurate records, complete required reporting documents and provide all required reports in a timely manner.

3. Ensure that all facility and home-based meals are customer satisfying and packaged and served in a timely manner.
