We are currently seeking a Senior Paralegal to join our Legal team. The Senior Paralegal reporting to the Assistant General Counsel supporting an array of functions in the legal department of a large company that provides infrastructure support and related products to utility and telecommunication companies nationwide.
This position's location will be at our Peachtree City, GA or Atlanta - Downtown office.
Responsibilities
- Supports the management of employment litigation and general liability lawsuits and claims. This includes assisting in the management of outside counsel, gathering and reviewing documents in response to discovery, assisting in responding to written discovery, and conducting research.
- Assists in managing employment related claims, including conducting investigations and responding to EEOC charges, and conducting research and gathering materials in connection with employment counseling.
- Reviews and investigates subpoenas and third-party discovery, drafts objections and gathers responsive information and materials.
- Provides functional and administrative support in organizing, managing, maintaining and coordinating various transactions and special projects.
- Provides support to internal and legal compliance related functions throughout the company.
- Performs administrative support such as managing correspondence, copying and scanning documentation, assisting with invoice processing and other miscellaneous administrative matters as well as compiling information and preparation of various internal reports consisting of reserves, forecasts, project updates, legal invoices, accounting and other various databases.
Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent required. BS/BA degree in related field preferred. Paralegal certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience at a law firm, government agency or corporation. Experience in employment litigation is preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under daily deadlines, handle multiple tasks throughout the workday, and keep up with responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

- Reviews and analyzes contracts, pleadings, filings, requests and other legal documents, research and data.
- Writes concisely and informatively, edits work for spelling and grammar, varies writing style to meet needs, presents analysis effectively, able to read and interpret written information.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
