THE ROLE

We're looking for a Sr. Product Designer to join Mack Weldon's fast-paced environment, who will collaborate on the creative vision for our product assortment. Reporting to the SVP, Design + Merchandising, your responsibilities will include executing the seasonal design concepts for all product categories, drive innovation through fabrics + technical details and provide sketches and CAD artwork. You'll collaborate with Merchandising and Product Development leads to execute against a seasonal line list, meet calendar deadlines and align on technical fit of all product.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Work alongside the Design department to lead the process from Concept to Production
• Provide Market research to initiate R&D for new product development
• Execution of flat sketches, print + pattern CAD
• Partner on seasonal fabric selection, and oversee the successful execution of new fabrics
• Lead Technical Fit process; including base specs, technical sketches and alignment on fit + design details
• Collaborate with Merchandising to identify seasonal big ideas, market trends
• Execute seasonal line list and meet product development calendar deadlines
• Partner with Wholesale + Retail teams for market needs

WHAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

• 6+ years experience in product design – Men's Knits and/or Wovens is a plus
• Passion for design and eagerness to work across multi-categories
• In-depth knowledge of design techniques, processes, seasonal yarn and stitch development
• High technical expertise in garment construction
• High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM
• Strong communication and presentation skills, and attention to detail

• Salary range $145,000 - $175,000 *This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NYC - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other MW employees.
