Hourly rate: $53,045 - $98,880

Stellant Systems currently has an opportunity for an experienced Material Planner at our Torrance, California location. In this position, you will coordinate material needs and manufacturing plans between various internal organizations (Engineering/QA/Finance) and customers (Program Management/External customers) by utilizing computerized inventory systems, monitoring simulations, and forecasting data Stellant Systems, a premier manufacturer of critical power amplification products where our technologies and products are unparalleled in the industry. Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing and confirming material requirements and inventory on hand or in transit to optimize overall supply chain planning.
  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing and process execution.
  • Responsible and accountable for material continuity for assigned programs including On-Time to SIOP, material budget and problem resolution within job scope.
  • Provide cost and material availability input to program proposals for Business Development
  • Coordinating planning decisions from end users and information from suppliers to reduce material shortages, working with personnel from departments such as Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Inventory Control
Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of experience in a supply-chain or material-related position, preferably supporting a manufacturing operation.
  • Computer proficiency is required, with advanced knowledge of ERP systems, Infor LN MRP Planning Environment and Microsoft Excel needed.
  • Must be able to develop and execute an MRP plan using business system and desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of electronic (hi-reliability) parts and machined parts requirements and associated processes is helpful.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to develop creative solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills are needed to effectively deal with internal and external customers and suppliers.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • APICS CPIM certification or other education relevant to this field is desirable.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
  • Prior experience in aerospace or industrial equipment manufacturing
