Summary
The Sr. Program Manager is a critical & strategic role on the MOD Operations Services team - responsible for designing, leading, and implementing a program and project management framework for prioritized, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. As the primary owner of the program management framework, you will play an instrumental role in the evolution of MOD's approach to developing, planning, implementing, and sustaining important work that defines the future of the company by laying a foundation that is scalable and enables the business to grow.
You'll be responsible for collaborating broadly across the company, working with various stakeholders and their teams to make sure we stay on track with the evolution of key business goals and initiatives. This involves creating new tools, building the approach to implementing and sustaining the tools, and leading the way for change management as well as partnering cross functionally to develop mitigation strategies when significant risks or issues arise.

Compensation: $130,000 - $155,000
- Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate's qualifications, competencies, experience, geographic location.

Summary

You'll be responsible for collaborating broadly across the company, working with various stakeholders and their teams to make sure we stay on track with the evolution of key business goals and initiatives. This involves creating new tools, building the approach to implementing and sustaining the tools, and leading the way for change management as well as partnering cross functionally to develop mitigation strategies when significant risks or issues arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead change and program management for key initiatives; develop scalable, consistent tools and templates and drive adoption of the program management and change management toolkit. The first 12 to 24 months of this role will be focused on transformational operations initiatives.
- Identify, develop, and implement innovative program and project management solutions, processes, and tools to improve and support the successful implementation of enterprise-wide program and project work.
- Develop and implement solutions that bring stakeholders and partners along the change journey by making work visible via regular and predictable channels as well as create space for problem solving cross functionally.
- Oversee project scopes and establish clear expectations, tactics and timelines for work assigned to project managers.
- Develop and foster collaborative relationships with internal cross functional teams and external partners
- Create and deliver impactful presentations used to influence leadership at all levels, from project teams to the Board of Directors. Story telling is an important part of this role for both successful program and project deliverables, as well as socializing with cross functional peers
- Identity opportunities to improve communication channels within enterprise-wide projects and programs
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of related experience, especially with developing robust, complex program management tools and approaches in a highly matrixed organization
- Prior experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams at a leadership level with proven results
- Passion for designing tools to help others be successful
- Expert presentation and storytelling skills and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with people of all backgrounds and levels, from Squad to senior leaders
- Ability to self-manage, determine timelines and deliverables, multi-task, identify and escalate risks and issues in appropriate venues and partner to develop mitigation strategies
- Proven ability to successfully lead large-scale programs and projects, driving timelines, and coordinating the efforts of multiple project managers and cross-functional stakeholder teams
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to distill complex concepts into manageable content, and to bring others along through change
- Advanced skills in Smartsheet
