Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our Senior Project Analyst position at our DTTP - Waller, TX location.

The Senior Project Analyst reports to Senior leadership and provides a variety of skills pertaining to process improvements with a focus on specific areas in the business such as project management, facilitation, data analysis, or reporting. Some responsibilities will include administrating project schedules, facilitating the execution of those schedules, and tracking the results with specific emphasis on QCD (quality, cost, and delivery). PMO Analyst will work with cross-functional teams to document/analyze business processes and data, architect solutions, present business cases, facilitate business case reviews and lead implementation projects. Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.

Responsibilities

May include:

  • Monitor the project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed
  • Create and effectively coordinate documentation to explain changes
  • Provide updates on project status to the rest of the organization
  • Foster close partnerships between Design Engineering and other departments to ensure that the Stage Gate process is followed and improved upon
  • Oversee and monitor work across projects within the assigned group to achieve project deliverables and goals
  • Assist with identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and issues
  • Negotiate and resolve conflicting project change requests
  • Develop and maintain partnership with key stakeholders through long range planning of projects and scopes
  • Serve as a project adviser to Engineering Project Managers and team members relating to PMO and Goodman Product Develop Processes
  • Ensure project launches and updates are initiated in MS Project Server in a timely fashion once approved by top management
  • Advise project teams on project schedule developments
  • Help craft the project scope and deliverables
  • Ensure that PWA is administered appropriately with questions and issues being addressed timely and accurately
  • Manage weekly project planning and tracking to ensure project schedules are reviewed and updated timely
  • Track and update project metrics
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed timely, to ensure projects are adequately prepared for Stage Gate reviews
  • Define, communicate and champion Design Engineering process improvement initiatives as needed
  • Facilitate solutions to issues around process improvement
  • Perform other job functions related to PMO or process improvement as needed

Nature & Scope:

  • Promotes an effective team-oriented atmosphere and takes initiative to assist in the orientation and development of new analysts – train and mentor analysts
  • Works independently and manages multiple people and projects in tight timelines
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Monitors performance of projects, provides consultation and collaborates with cross-functional teams from design to completion
  • Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost

Qualifications

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Project Management and facilitation based on PMI or other standard methods; Microsoft Project including; 1) creating and maintaining schedules on a daily basis, 2) using predecessors effectively, 3) being able to manipulate the data in a timely manner, and 4) calling out items of attention (date pushes due to scope change or increase in duration)
  • Data gathering analysis and reporting using databases, reporting tools, and excel.
  • Process Improvement experience based on Rummler-Brache, Balanced Scorecard, Six Sigma, or similar methods
  • High knowledge of MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, database exp., Access is a plus
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical skills including effective problem solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including presentations and public speaking amongst a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project team, business partners, and vendors
  • Project Focus: Understands, anticipates, and meets business and project needs
  • Ability to consistently deliver on commitments, take initiative, apply a bias towards action, take responsibility, show individual accountability, apply a sense of urgency, make timely good judgement decisions
  • Excellent organizational and time management and prioritization skills
  • High levels of multi-tasking are required and quick adaptability to change
  • Ability to manage through influence / leverage partnerships

Experience:

  • 8 plus years

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other related field.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
