DB E.C.O North America Inc. is the part of that team bringing DB’s global experience and knowledge to the North American marketplace. Our clients are passenger, freight railway companies and railway transportation agencies in North America who seek to improve their organizational performance and modernize their product and service portfolio.
We have offices in Los Angeles, Sacramento, Chicago and New York – however, many of our employees live all across the US.
For our DB E.C.O. North America Inc. team, we are looking for a Senior Rail Planning Advisor. This position offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth and can be based across the U.S., but preferably in Sacramento, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and advise various rail service initiatives, including the development of operations and maintenance (O&M) strategies
- Coordinate and interface with O&M cost, ridership, and revenue forecasting
- Plan commercial strategies, including ancillary revenue opportunities at or near stations and at rail trains
- Participate in the development of business plans
- Review, analyze, and recommend systems for revenue collection mechanisms
- Lead and/or support other rail work packages, as prioritized by the clients
- Develop and maintain productive relationships internally and externally
- Create visualizations that make explanations of complicated technical matters suitable for a non-technical audience
- Manage risks and opportunities and develop, implement, and monitor the success of countermeasures
- Mentor and coach junior staff
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in transportation engineering, economics, finance, or other related fields
- At least 8 years of rail experience in O&M, commercial, and strategy
- Knowledge and understanding of the different components of rail operations, maintenance, and infrastructure delivery, and financial & commercial management
- Project management and strategy consulting experience, including the ability to perform under pressure
- Capable of articulating and leading complex initiatives with high-profile stakeholder management
- Knowledge in contract management, risk & opportunities management
- Excellent public communication and presentation skills
- Business-oriented mindset, desire to take ownership and drive projects forward
- Flexible, independent, and well-structured working approach
- Excellent knowledge of MS-Office tools Excel, PowerPoint, Word
We offer an annual gross salary between $ 150,000 and $200,000 for full-time employment, depending on professional qualifications and experience.
