An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Service Delivery Manager to join our Infrastructure and Operations team in the Rolls Royce Group IT organisation. You will be accountable for Service Delivery of Critical Business Services and Products to designated business units. You will be accountable for the performance and quality of critical services and the realisation of business value of IT services and products to our internal customers (business units).

This role provides the opportunity to work with key business stakeholders and senior management in Rolls-Royce as well as Eco system partners, vendors and IT functions. This challenging role provides the opportunity to drive engagement with the business to help them achieve maximum value from Group IT services and products. Meeting, continuously improving and exceeding service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs) through internal and external services supply chain.

What you will be doing:
Working for the Head of Regional Delivery: EMEA , your primary responsibilities will be to:
  • Own, operate and enhance the relationship between Infrastructure and Operations and your assigned business units, by regularly meeting with them and acting as an escalation point for operational IT matters.
  • Establish clear communication channels between IT and assigned business areas ensuring business insights are shared to drive business relevance across the IT Function e.g. changes to business priorities and challenges.
  • Provide oversight of IT Service performance and End User Experience ensuring the right set of IT Services are delivered in alignment with business needs, agreed service levels and provide value for money.
  • Provide an effective interface for the business for all IT Service Operations tasks.
  • Understand business priorities, IT performance and issues at a business unit level e.g. tubines. Engaging with the business and business partners with effective governance.
  • Drive MIM calls with the support of the ITOC and suppliers, ensuring that there is clear supplier accountability and rapid action taken to restore service and provide advice and insights to the business regarding the improvement of performance and/or productivity of systems.
  • Act as the point of escalation for all critical service issues and provide valuable input (context and data) for building business cases to address root cause of issues across a business unit.
  • Maintain a business unit level dashboard to capture performance and lead the Service Leads associated with a business unit to perform insights, governance, communications at the site level.

  • Working with the Global Head of Service Operations, Head of Regional Delivery: EMEA and IT Service Leads, other Service Managers, business IT colleagues and external vendors to ensure efficient processes, tooling and skills are available for delivery of critical IT services and products.
  • Representing the face of IT back in to your business units you will be comfortable communicating in all forms and have the gravitas to engage with management at all levels within the organisation.
  • This role has a high degree of autonomy, the ability to “get started” is key to this role.
  • The ability to be a team player within a global IT team.
  • Work collaboratively with IT business partners in other areas of the RR business.
