Your role at Clorox:
Are you a transportation expert with a passion for optimizing operations and delivering exceptional service? We're seeking a dedicated Sr. Transportation Manager to lead our transportation operations in a North American region, managing a transportation spend exceeding $50M.

As our Sr. Transportation Manager, you'll play a critical role in developing and executing short and long-term transportation strategies that balance service and cost to support our business objectives. You'll actively lead a carrier portfolio, leveraging critical truckload and intermodal transportation carrier relationships to achieve our goals.

With your deep understanding of transportation logistics, you'll analyze data and make strategic decisions to optimize operations, improve efficiency, and drive cost savings. You'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional results.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead efforts for continuous service level improvements, engaging all involved parties (internal and external).
  • Fully own truckload and Intermodal transportation costs for assigned geographic region. Proactively address cost drivers and ambitiously eliminate variances and drive out waste to deliver value-creation.
  • Provide direction and oversight to 3PL partners running daily freight execution
  • Partner with Customer Support, Customer Supply Chain and DC Operations and the business teams on strategic projects, providing transportation insights, subject matter expertise, and transportation solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally to minimize service disruptions and ensure successful supply chains are established and maintained.
  • Stay on top of industry/market conditions and trends and leverage industry resources and knowledge to provide insight, identify standard processes and new technology to improve results
  • Validated leadership with the ability to influence and turn ideas into action, Self-motivated, and possess strong abilities to work seamlessly across functional boundaries
  • Ability to monitor and report out on performance on daily, weekly, and monthly basis
What we look for:
  • 5 years of Supply Chain End to End experience
  • 2+ years of Transportation Experience and management systems (TMS) is preferred
  • ERP experience
  • 2 years of ERP (SAP) preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED from and accredited institution.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Strong carrier, customer or supplier management experience (including negotiation tactics and performance management) is preferred
  • Experience with the development of forecasts/budgets, and managing operations against a forecast/budget is preferred

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $101,100 - $194,200
–Zone B: $92,700 - $178,000
–Zone C: $84,300 - $161,800

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
