Overview:
Web Software Developer applies standard programming procedures and detailed knowledge of pertinent subject matter (e.g., work processes, governing rules, clerical procedures, etc.) in programming areas to develop web software application. Develops, modifies, and maintains assigned programs; designs and implements modifications to programs. Works independently under specified objectives; applies judgment in devising program logic and in selecting and adapting standard programming procedures; resolves problems and deviations according to established practices; and obtains advice where precedents are unclear or not available. Completed work is reviewed for conformance to standards, timeliness, and efficiency. Support entails the full range of mission application operations and maintenance of current mission applications integrated into the Department of State (DoS) Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR) Enterprise and new mission applications to be integrated over the life of the task order.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, building, and optimizing organizational website and other online applications.
- Provide web-based application development and programming using C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, or other coding languages.
- Translate product requirements into full stack design and architecture.
Required , Skills, and Abilities:
- Subject Matter Expert in user centric design processes, micro-service n-tier architecture and/or distributed architecture.
- Strong understanding of federated authentication, claims-based authorization, and public key infrastructure.
- Proficient in the use of Javascript based languages for web applications.
- Able to translate product requirements into full stack design and architecture.
- Demonstrates strong writing and oral communication skills.
Required Education and Experience:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 7 years of experience providing web-based application development and programming using C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, or other coding languages.
- Demonstrated experience supporting applications with 99% uptime high availability requirements.
- Experience conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, and choose solutions.
