Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions to guests as necessary
- Take guest orders by writing them down or memorizing them
- Input orders into the POS system
- Present orders to the kitchen staff
- Serve guests their prepared food and drinks while explaining the dishes as they are placed in front of each guest
- Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when the meal has been completed
- Prepare bill and accept payment or refer guest to the appropriate cashier
- Clear or reset table at the end of each course
- Thank guests and kindly invite them back for a future dining experience
