Job description

We are currently seeking full-time, part-time, casual Servers to join our Redfish Poke Bar by Foodland team! This eatery features grab and go poke by the pound and poke bowls, as well as a restaurant and lounge featuring a variety of poke – both classic and new original recipes, a full-service bar serving up craft beers, sake, and signature cocktails, and a menu of local food favorites!

As the primary point of contact for guest interactions in the dining room, the Server is responsible for selling & serving food & beverages using their knowledge, hospitality and service skills. Must be pleasant, conscientious and professional with excellent knowledge of food & alcoholic beverage selections. Required to execute the Sequence of Service consistently and comply with safety standards. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly and ensure smooth service operations and quality service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Execute Server Sequence of Service consistently
• Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails, suggesting courses, explaining the chef's specialties, identifying appropriate wines, answering food preparation questions.
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices, identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering guest orders from bar and kitchen, deliver accompaniments and condiments.
• Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs, observing dining process.

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1+ years of serving or related experience in a full service restaurant preferred.
• Knowledge of service procedures and extensive food and beverage knowledge.
• Excellent oral communication skills required.
• Positive interpersonal skills required
• Cleanliness, organization and the ability to work well in a team situation are crucial to this position.
• Must possess a recent TB Clearance.
