Summary of Position

Responsible for delivering repair and service work at the Service Center and/or at Customer Location that reinforces Value, Vision and Brand. Work with customers and potential customers to present creative service and repair solutions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer concerns with true root cause in mind.
  • Provide clear evaluations for the best interests of company and customer.
  • Deliver products and evaluations on time for customer satisfaction.
  • Train customers and teammates with their development in mind.
  • Acknowledging ourselves and others.
  • See teammates as people and communicate to improve knowledge.
  • Learn and implement system tools
  • Contribute to and follow standard work.
  • Contribute to and follow 5S checklists.
  • Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement in all aspects of the role.
  • Contribute to problem solving through utilization of 5 Whys.
  • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components.
  • Use basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments.
  • Evaluate customers’ warranty claims and determine validity of the claim.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Provide real-time, customer feedback information to the manager of product problems or potential liabilities.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and make repairs and give recommendations for repairs.
  • Deliver service training for customers.
  • Demonstrates excellence in completion of all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education Requirements / Certifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Experience / Skill Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in field service and/or repair.
  • Demonstrated experience in machining concepts and processes in vacuum pumps, blowers and integrated systems preferred.
  • Blower application knowledge
  • Vacuum process application knowledge
  • Experience in technical problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Advanced expertise in comprehension and analysis of technical drawings.

Physical Requirements

  • Medium work. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work environment includes commercial and industrial sites - temperatures will vary.
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, stoop, stand, reach, push, pull, lift and grasp.
  • Ability to communicate information effectively through oral and written presentation.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communications
  • Repetitive motions of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Some Travel
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Close visual acuity to determine accurateness of work.
  • Ability to travel via Commercial aircraft or motor vehicle
