Job description
Responsibilities:
- Installing woodworking machinery at customers’ facilities
- Training machine operators on basic operation of the machinery
- Training maintenance personnel on basic maintenance and troubleshooting of the machinery
- Visually inspecting and testing machinery and equipment at the customers’ facility
- Dismantling defective machines and equipment and installing new or repaired parts
- Cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
- Installing and repairing electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
- Providing troubleshooting support over the phone
- Attending advanced factory training at manufacturers' facilities in Europe or other locations as required
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and required automobile insurance
- Must have a current passport
- Must be eligible for international travel
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in installation and maintenance of NC machinery
- The ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools, testing and measuring equipment, and PC diagnostic software
- Must be familiar with basic Windows operating systems as well as most MS Office programs
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, mechanical and electrical schematics (IEC), construction drawings, and procedure manuals
- Job requires up to 60% - 80% travel, mainly travel is through North America, but will not be limited to North America
- Must be able to speak effectively with members of customer’s organization including management, supervisory personnel, maintenance staff, and machine operators
- Must be able to write routine reports detailing work performed
- Must have common math skills and be able to work with metric measurements
- Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and the ability to diagnose problems involving a combination of standardized tests and logical deductions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
