As a Shift Engineer you will:

• Be responsible for carrying out any repair or maintenance issues throughout the hotel as and when they arise

• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains, replace bath/basin taps and showers), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and program TV's.

• Respond to and attend to guest repair requests

• You will take part in the Department Duty Engineer shift rota providing 24/7 cover.

• React to requests to assess and repair where possible, faults with all aspects of the buildings including HVAC, lighting & small power issues, plumbing problems, Pool plant

• Perform preventative maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical room equipment

• Report on any new or developing engineering works that need to be addressed to the Engineering Manager

• Assist with maintaining the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc.

• Undertake and record regular Planned Preventative Maintenance and Health & Safety schedules to include monthly emergency lighting testing, tap/shower head descaling, lighting checks, temperature checks of water systems as specified in the site Water Risk Assessment, fire alarm testing, fire equipment checks, meter readings, running generator, pool plant etc.

• You will be an excellent communicator and build excellent relationships with departments across the hotel
