Job description
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the execution and oversight of daily sales operations at Native Sun including the guest experience, sales floor cleanliness, cash and inventory accuracy, and coaching staff. They support team members to ensure every guest is given the time and attention needed to select the proper cannabis products and have a best-in-class experience. They are a company culture leader. This is a highly cross-functional role and will require collaboration with leaders across all departments. This role is also responsible for assigning and overseeing the day‐to‐day duties of the retail staff
Primary responsibilities:
- Ensures the adherence to company policies and procedures, local, state and federal regulations and Cannabis Control Commission regulations.
- Assist with training, overseeing, and coaching staff to achieve guest experience and sales objectives.
- Conduct and ensure complete accuracy of all opening and closing procedures for the dispensary, including recording and reporting on operations data.
- Performs opening and/or closing cash management; including counting tills, balancing sales and deposits.
- Maintain a positive and guest focused energy on the sales floor.
- Maintain performance as a top tier sales associate.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment inside and outside the facility.
- Support the Manager on duty with break coverage.
- Maintain a working knowledge of cannabis specific operational parameters.
- Ensure Native Sun guests receive excellent guest service at all times.
- Acts as a role model for our Core Value and Mission statement.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators and execute tactical plans to improve key results for the sales team.
- Contribute to the continual improvement to dispensary operation.
- Communicate inventory needs with management team to maintain accurate menus and updated menus as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate high intellectual curiosity, problem solving skills, and ability to understand and work with complex or abstract concepts.
- Accurately use Point of Sale, Inventory Tracking, Seed-To-Sale, Google Sheets and other retail software systems.
- Maintain and ensure adherence to all sales SOPs, policies, training manuals, and methodology.
- Ensure the use of internal communication tools to promote transparent and sufficient intercompany communication
- Monitoring overall store cleanliness including restrooms, office, and sales floor.
- Participates in opening and closing, and mid day tasks
- Activating Native Sun signature scent.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Responsible for working in admissions, fulfillment and inventory when assigned.
- Cross training is a requirement.
Job Requirements and Preferences
- 2+ years of experience in retail sales.
- Previous cannabis experience preferred.
- Experience in computer systems (Cannabis ERP, Excel/Google Sheets, etc).
- Ability to work in an extremely fast paced and highly accountable environment.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years post‐secondary education in a related field preferred.
- Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Holidays, nights, and weekend availability are a requirement.
- Infrequent travel to other Native Sun locations.
