Contech is seeking a Shipper/Forklift Operator at our plant in Montgomery, AL.This is a full time opportunity, with comprehensive health insurance, paid time off during the first year of employment, and 401(k).

Primary Responsibilities

• Receives instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
• Using work schedule selects material to use and helps direct quantities and disposition of material.
• Operates forklift and in the loading and unloading of products and materials.
• Operates forklift to service operating units, when needed.
• Indicates storage location for products and may direct relocating and assembly of products.
• Directs and manually assists in the securing, counting, packaging and tagging of products as required prior to shipment.
• Secures products by placing and driving nails, typing Signode strapping.
• Organizes and prepares lumber for use as dunnage.
• Fuels and maintains equipment as required.
• Maintains yard area in a neat and orderly condition.
• Checks and records load sheets.
• Other duties assigned

Requirements

• Preferred: Certification on forklift operation.
