Job description

We are looking for a hands on Shipping / Production / QC coordinator to production operations. You will be the one to ensure orders are correctly fabricated, packed, labeled, and shipped in a timely manner. A successful candidate is analytical, detail oriented and comfortable being hands on in the production process. They must be comfortable with paperwork and computer systems and have knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures. The goal is to ensure that the shipping and production processes are running smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor each production department's workflow for alignment with overall production schedule.
• Document cycle counts to track inventory levels.
• Implement systems to increase productivity.
• Check, prioritize and route orders within the shop.
• Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
• Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
• Generate labels, barcodes and other features of completed and in progress orders
• Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimize processes
• Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
• Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
• Report to management on activities and issues

Skills

• Experience in shipping department
• Ability to understand engineering drawings of parts and assemblies.
• Manage Bills of Materials and Project assembly counts.
• Knowledge of logistics procedures
• Experience in preparing shipping documents
• Computer savvy with knowledge of MS Office
• Good understanding of budgeting and reporting
• Willingness to direct and evaluate processes
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving abilities
• High school diploma; BSc/BA in supply chain, logistics or relative field is a definite plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Benefits:

• Paid time off

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:
