Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment: reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work orders, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizes knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
• Compiles records of unfilled orders.
• Posts weight and shipping charges.
• Prepares bills of lading.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent degree with 2-3 years' experience with shipping/receiving
• 2-3 years' experience with international shipments, including all applicable shipment documentation a MUST
• Knowledge of internet and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Access.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, and practices
• Knowledge of and ability to operate shipping and receiving equipment including, but not limited to forklift, hoist, and pallet jack
• Knowledge of inventory procedures and methodologies
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts
• Ability to operate a computer
• Strong communication skills
• Superior organizational and documentation skills a MUST

Working Conditions:

A/C production environment with long periods of standing and walking; limited exposure to outdoor environment; work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work requires bending, pushing, kneeling, stooping, fingering, grasping, and keyboarding motions; vocal communications is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
