EHT a subsidiary of BMT Aerospace is looking for Maintenance Helper - Location Madison Heights, MI- HOURS 7:00AM to 5:00PM

To provide support and drive the shipping process for internal and external customers in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to schedule arrangements for drop offs/pick-up by carrier specified by Customer Service Manager or delivery notes
• Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the shipping supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Packaging repairs and spare parts shipment adequately to arrive to their destination safely.
• Must ensure the integrity of the shipping process is aligned with the supply chain department's standards
• Troubleshoot complex shipping issues and work with appropriate departments to prevent mis-shipment's

Competencies

• Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers.
• Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
• Must be familiar with and operate the most common material handling equipment.
• Must have computer skills to navigate UPS/FEDEX online software.
• Ability to operate and communicate across various teams; excellent interpersonal communication skills a must.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of related experience in a shipping department; ; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse and manufacturing environment required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
