Kelly Engineering is currently seeking an experienced
Bulk Shipping Coordinator for a long-term opportunity in
Seadrift, Texas! The bulk shipping coordinator role ensures that customer orders for bulk railcars are effectively fulfilled. The role is critical to ensuring the bulk railcar orders are shipped in a timely manner for customer satisfaction and onsite railcar inventory is appropriately allocated to meet business needs.

The SSL Bulk Shipping Coordinator role requires the following skills and knowledge:
- Knowledge of the Material Flow Work Process (MFWP)
- Working knowledge of core work process enabling software
- SAP
- GVP
- Excel
- Knowledge of or training on company’s CAMP work process with the ability to respond to QNs as required
- Ability to collect data, participate as an investigation team member and/or lead investigations to determine the root cause of errors within the MFWP.
- Ability to detect errors within the work process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail is critical
The primary responsibilities of the SSL Bulk Shipping Coordinator role include:
- Interact with production plants, Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), and Rail Logistics provider to ensure accurate on-time delivery of product to customers.
- Process all plastics business hopper car and/or hopper truck shipments daily
- Enter ROCs whenever errors are detected with the work process.
- Investigate and resolve immediate measures for ROCs that assigned.
- Process hopper van shipments and update the current HVAN Shipments spreadsheet as needed.
- Run bulk loading reports in Excel as required.
- Provide Galveston and Spring SIT yard car list to Rail Fleet Administrator.
- Produce a daily plastics business hopper car ship list and email to site railroad contractor daily
- Update the Carbon Heel Audit spreadsheet for the Raw Materials.
- Investigate and respond to quality messages received.
- Document investigation finding for quality messages
- Monitor and report on-time shipping metrics for SSL
The following goals and metrics are critical to the success of the SSL Bulk Shipping Coordinator role and the SSL department.
- Maintain on-time rail shipment performance of at least 95%
- Maintain DPMO of less than 1500 for bulk rail shipments processed
