Millcreek Community Hospital, an Equal Opportunity Employer is looking to add a FT Short Order Cook to our Team!!

Under the direction of members of the Supervisory Staff the Snack Bar Short Order Cook operates the Snack Bar Shop serving customers needs and requests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs tasks such as filling the ice machine, making coffee, replenishing supplies as needed, etc. throughout the day to be able to serve customers as quickly and efficiently as possible.

2. Is prompt and courteous with customers at all times.

3. Is responsible for handling patient telephone service sales procedures.

4. Performs cashier’s duties throughout the day and follows shift begin and end procedures verifying receipts with actual money received.

5. Washes and cleans fruits and vegetables and peels, dices, shreds or slices them using kitchen hand utensils in preparation for the regular and daily special menus.

6. Performs short order cooking duties.

7. Maintains a clean, orderly and sanitary work area and customer dining area.

8. Understands and follows sanitary practices regarding food preparation, handling and storage for infection control.

9. Washes dishes, pans, utensils regularly throughout the day.

10. Sweeps and mops food production, storage and dining areas as scheduled.

11. Inventories food and supplies on days instructed.

12. Empties trash regularly throughout the day.

13. Follows cleaning schedule and procedures for equipment such as the grill, fryer, ice machine, coffee maker and dispensers, soda pop dispenser, sinks, bakery display, etc.

14. Performs heavy cleaning duties regularly, as scheduled.

15. Places food and supplies in storage following deliveries from vendors.

17. Must maintain a current record of attendance to the required in-services as determined by the institution on an annual basis.
