Job description

A Shuttle Driver will safely load, unload and deliver parts on a timely schedule as directed, to Shuttle System drop boxes and Stores along the assigned route. Other duties may include but are not limited to, assisting Parts Departments in sorting and other warehouse duties. Must have 5 years of experience operating a truck trailer combo and maintain a Texas Commercial Driver's License.

KRA's (Key Responsibility Areas):

  • Responding to company needs in a positive, caring manner while striving for prompt, accurate, and efficient transport of all shuttle shipments. Responsible for securing material onto the truck, and ensuring that material meets state and federal guidelines for safe transport and vehicle capabilities. As measured by passing inspections through D.O.T. mobile and fixed-scale locations.
  • Driver must be qualified and certified for vehicle operation and possess a Class A driver's license.. Must meet all state requirements and all Holt safety and health guidelines. As monitored by yearly management records.
  • Must fill out D.O.T. required driver daily log accurately and without misrepresentation, and must not have more than three moving violations within a twelve-month period.
    • Must fill out the driver’s daily inspection report, make recommendations for repair or maintenance, as well as be responsible for the clean appearance of his company-assigned vehicle.
    • Must be willing to work with Parts Systems Manager on various projects.

  • Technical Expertise: Specific business/industry job-related professional knowledge, skills, experience, and related performance attributes.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work the Swing Shift - 10pm or 10am
  • Must be able to travel within territory (Texas).
  • Must be able to learn forklift operations
  • Must be able to pass and retain a DOT Physical and Medical Card, MSHA certificate, and forklift license
  • Must be able to learn the necessary computer skills to perform the job
  • Must have a safe driving history
