Site Finance Director – Military Aircraft Group

The Military Aircraft Group East Aurora Site Finance Director reports to the Division Finance Director.

The successful candidate will be key member of the East Aurora site leadership team and will lead a team responsible for enabling the development and execution of site strategy through robust financial modeling and sound decision support. This experienced finance leader must have a demonstrated ability to link operational drivers to financial impacts and communicate clearly and objectively with a diverse set of stakeholders to drive impact and influence outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Finance business partnership - enable the development and execution of site strategy through robust financial modeling and sound tactical and strategic decision support
  • Lead finance team responsible for end-to-end site financial accountability including full site production P&L (close, forecast, budget, expense management)
    • Site & functional controllership
    • Sales, gross margin, and operating margin forecasting
    • Site capital investment planning and coordination
    • Internal and external audit support
  • Enhance governance to enable site leadership to reduce production product cost, optimize inventory and net working capital, and improve free cash flow
  • Lead Integrated Business Planning (IBP) reconciliation at the site level and drive strong alignment in accountability between operational drivers and financial outcomes
  • Manage, recruit, coach, and develop direct reports
  • Actively advocate for continuous improvement, efficiency, and means to increase value to internal/external customers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA/CPA is a plus.
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, operations management, or supply chain. Similar industry preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 4+ years of people management experience
  • Strong demonstrated ability to advise and influence cross functional business stakeholders, including site and division leadership team
  • Strategic mindset, ability to see big picture opportunities and proactively address with site leadership team
  • Comfort with ambiguity and driving new processes to address business opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and with external constituencies
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve performance and results through the managing of people and teams by setting expectations, creating a culture of accountability, and providing timely coaching
  • Ability to relocate to East Aurora, New York and be present on-site

Preferred Requirements
  • SAP experience and/or knowledge of ERP business systems
  • Experience with Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Experience with Product Cost Analysis and Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
  • Manufacturing and/or aerospace industry experience highly preferred
  • Experience with long term accounting and/or government finance

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
