6-month contract to hire

Job Description:

You will assist in the development of new software applications for our biotech instrumentation suite here at the Company. You will participate and collaborate in developing biotech related hardware/software products for existing and new product lines for The Company.

If you have a passion for UI/UX you will be given an opportunity to implement significant customer facing UI/UX for a new software platform.

If UI/UX is not your passion, we also have plenty of opportunity to have you work on more "backend” tasks like algorithm optimization/data processing/.NET C# Code optimization/new customer facing feature development/Image processing and many more software development opportunities.

Job Requirements

Perform all phases of software development including design, implementation, testing, integration, and maintenance of existing and new software applications.

Development and support of desktop UI/UX, data analysis, hardware to software communications, and hardware to software instrument control software.

Collaborate with verification and validation teams to build test requirements based on system software requirements and design.

Requirements:
Education Requirements: This candidate must hold a 4-year degree.

Ideal previous industry experience: biotech, biology, pharmaceuticals, instrument control, & data science.

Soft skills: highly collaborative, team player, strong communicator, problem solver, can take imitative & doesn't need to be fed information/next steps, etc.

4+ years working with C#.

4+ years working with UWP, WPF, or SilverLight.

4+ years of experience with .NET framework, .NET Core or .Net 5- .Net 7

4+ years of experience developing C# GUI applications using object-oriented techniques and methodology.

Experience with software industry standard Design Patterns in general and specifically with MVVM Experience with multi-threaded software environment specifically within the .Net environment.

Enhancing and improving existing software libraries and applications Experience understanding and communicating associated risks with making changes to large codebases.

Deep understanding and experience in API design (like RESTFul), including versioning, isolation, documentation for internal and external (commercial) Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies Understanding of Object-Oriented Design Patterns Comfortable working in Visual Studio and Azure DevOps

We would also consider candidates that have Java or C++ desktop development experience. This can either be UI/UX or more "backend" code experience.

Mgr is looking for a .net desktop software developer, not a web developer. He would even rather have someone w/ Java desktop experience rather than a web developer.

Location: Candidate must be local so that they can come onsite as needed.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $46.00 - $56.00 per hour
