Our Procurement team finds strategic approaches to procuring key resources for Danone like milk, water and plastic. As a part of this team, you will work with colleagues to find suppliers and resources that fit with our business goals, promote a circular economy and support Danone’s One Planet, One Health vision. We are currently looking to hire a Sourcing Manager, Professional Services based in Broomfield, CO or White Plains, NY!


As part of the North America Procurement team the primary purpose of this position is to manage purchasing activities related to Professional Services for Danone North America (including territories in the USA and Canada).

This position requires proven sourcing skills and effective cross functional project leadership, negotiation, collaboration, analytical and communication skills. Experience in professional services (Human Resources, Real Estate, Travel & Expenses, Information Systems-Information Technology (ISIT)) sourcing will be an asset).

As a Sourcing Manager, you will act as steward in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for Professional Services categories as well as lead key communications & objective setting meetings with business stakeholders. Specific responsibilities include:


Drive sourcing activities, which may include but are not limited to:


    • Human Resource (HR) services: Benefits, Temporary Labor, Recruitment, Domestic Relocation
    • Real Estate: Leasing of office and warehouse space
    • Travel & Expenses
    • Meetings & Events
    • Courier & Office Services
    • ISIT: Supporting resilience, digital transformation, and core system integration and automation priorities
    • Analyzing current needs and practices in place, market research and industry benchmarking
    • Conducting market studies to identify new suppliers / opportunities and develop a robust supplier base
    • Collaboration and partnership with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to support a service as a benefit mindset to
    • Defining, aligning, and executing category sourcing strategies for 2022 and beyond
    • Supporting growth and change through identification and implementation of adapted partnerships with identified suppliers, to improve both service level and cost control through supplier relationship management (SRM) tools
    • Manage spend portfolio & cost savings by identifying and realizing opportunities, creative insourcing models, identifying opportunities for cash flow improvement, and tail spend management
    • Responsible for driving the Source to Contract Lifecycle for applicable strategic categories and adhering to compliance policies within those processes
    • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers and lead business reviews
    • Facilitate agreement process by effectively collaborating and influencing various stakeholders such as HR and Compliance
    • Leverage procurement methods to improve upon categories and business conditions to drive innovation and continuous improvement
    • Provide insight into and occasional training for procurement policies and processes
    • Collaborate with global procurement team to promote synergies for all Danone regions

Select Suppliers and Manage Contracts - Oversee supplier related activities with direct oversight on:

  • Developing and launching RFP’s or RFQ’s to select suppliers in targeted categories
  • Analyzing proposals and recommending scenarios to key internal stake holders
  • Supporting negotiations with suppliers on quality, time & cost of service and contract terms and conditions
  • Draft contracts and lead contract ratification activities, assuring interaction with supplier and Legal teams
  • Manage suppliers to ensure business needs are met and maintain Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to improve supplier performance
  • Develop and implement performance indicators, monitor suppliers, and support continuous improvement

Animate & Evaluate Suppliers - Drive quarterly and annual business reviews with team:

  • Evaluate and manage the performance of professional services suppliers
  • Define the objectives of improvement of performance and the necessary action plans
  • Lead supplier relationship management (SRM) activities with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure good supplier relationships

Control Budget & Savings - Lead, in conjunction with reporting team, Finance and stakeholders, quarterly and annual activities related to:

  • Bringing synergy in unifying the sourcing strategy across the company’s entities/business units/brands
  • Overall spend visibility, spend compliance and tail spend management
  • Benchmarking to identify new sourcing models and to bring the outside in
  • Identification of new projects to create COVI (cost out, value in) opportunities - validate with finance, seek, and obtain buy-in for these projects, contribute to build budget with stakeholders, achieve and track savings monthly
  • Foreseeing price and service evolution

The base compensation range for this position is $70,000-105,000 commensurate with experience. About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field of stufy
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic purchasing or related field with strong negotiation skills
  • Experience in Professional Services procurement
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional, multi-cultural, matrix environment
  • Agile with a sense of urgency in completing responsibilities and identifying new opportunities
  • Demonstrates cross-functional / peer to peer leadership through coaching; People management skills is a plus
  • Proactive: anticipates issues/opportunities & can work through multiple simultaneous projects
  • Fantastic presentation and project management, follow up and organizational skills
  • Rigorous data analysis capability and financial acumen
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic sustainable initiatives, and lead change by engaging people
  • Comfortable in facing paradoxes or contradictions with resilience and tenacity
  • Strong professionalism and the ability to drive initiatives when faced with adversity
  • Ability to develop and grow, via different sourcing categories and / or increased accountability
  • Adaptable to the use of new software solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office solutions
