Sous Chef
Job description
Jacksons Restaurant + Bar, adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Southpointe is currently seeking a Sous Chef. The Sous Chef supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel. They engage in ordering, receiving and preparing all food products while upholding the highest standards of quality in all aspects of their work.
Jacksons Restaurant + Bar is a neighborhood restaurant offering new American cuisine in a chic and welcoming atmosphere. They offer smart and casual dining featuring fresh, seasonal and locally sourced foods and an extensive wine and craft cocktail list.
Required Skills:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and available for all shifts.
- Ability to work autonomously and sell effectively
- Outstanding people skills
- Trustworthy and results-driven
- May include nights, weekends and/or holidays.
Education and Experience:
- Culinary Degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years of culinary experience required
- Supervisory experience preferred
