Job description
- Provide individualized and differentiated instruction and related services as identified on IEPs to students with varying emotional/behavioral disabilities; ensure all procedural safeguards are followed; provide appropriate instruction to assist IEP students in reaching goals
- Develop, monitor, and review IEP plans, utilizing methods and materials that will facilitate reaching identified goals for students with emotional or behavioral disorders.
- Provide direct support to Case manager who have student behavior needs in Least Restrictive Environment, develop & review individual student Behavior Intervention Plans for identified students, and provide behavior goal checks
- Perform all responsibilities for the position as identified in Job Description Teacher-Special Education found on our website; serve as case manager for identified students as per District, State of Wyoming, and Federal rules and regulations
- B.A. or B.S. Degree
- Qualified for a Standard Teaching Certificate as issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board with Exceptional—Generalist K-12 endorsement required and be highly qualified in core subjects is preferred
- Successful teaching experience; with experience at the level(s) for which applying preferred
- Successful experience as case manager and multi-categorical resource room teaching experience with inclusion preferred
- Knowledge/Experience in Professional Learning Communities (PLC)
- Self-directed, self-motivated, and goal-oriented highly desirable
- Team oriented; history of professional growth; demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of personalities, settings, teaching staff, and administrators
Qualifications:
Salary: District Salary Schedule (2022-2023 Base = $51,000.00)
Employment Term: Full-time – 185 day contract
Beginning Date: 2023-2024 reporting date for staff – August 15, 2023 (New staff will have orientation before this date)
