Leidos is seeking a dynamic and talented IT professional to join an established team providing mission-focused IT support to our customer. This position is part of the ESA V program - an IT Services program supporting several customers within the Department of Justice. We provide a range of IT services, including help desk, deskside support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, ITSM, Active Directory services, and video conferencing, among others. Our Special Support team is a small but specialized team which responds rapidly to customer requests for a wide variety of IT needs.

Location: The individual selected for this position will work full time at two customer sites: one in downtown Washington, DC, and one in Beltsville, MD.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, sometimes on short notice

Candidate selected will be subject to a Government Public Trust security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to the customer’s information. Current clearance is not required, but selected individual cannot start the assignment until the required security clearance is granted by the customer. This process is currently taking 10+ weeks.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing on-site consultation oversight and integration support for the Information Technology (IT) function associated with critical incidents and special events in support of criminal enforcement investigations.
  • Provide guidance for the handling, installation and utilization of various systems and equipment, including the laptops and other electronic equipment which support various training classes, seminars and expositions at customer locations and outside facilities at the customer’s Headquarters building in DC and at customer sites nationwide. Troubleshoot site specific issues and liaises with other agencies and/or vendors to resolve any issues during events.
  • Advise on technical requirements for special purpose IT systems and environments such as “fly-away” kits.
  • Represent the IT customer organization to external organizations during site relocations and moves, assisting in the development of site-specific or area-wide processes and procedures, and ensuring sites are adhering to such guidance.
  • Travel to sites to ensure that relocations and move proceed in a seamless manner, limiting customer downtime.
  • Build briefing materials to recommend solutions that meet IT system needs for customers, including senior customer executives.
  • Meet with those customers and executives to communicate plans and issues, obtain their feedback, and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Utilize engineering judgment and customer interface skills to ensure that that IT systems meet or exceed their needs.
  • Communicate plans and issues with peers and internal team members.
  • Manage the inventory of customer- and contractor-owned equipment necessary to provide rapid response to emergency needs.
  • Advise on technical requirements for products and services, support equipment and electronic equipment installations related to the customer’s continuity of operations site.
  • When time allows, provide onsite IT support at customer locations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of IT experience supporting mission-critical customer activities. High school diploma with additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, sometimes on short notice
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance, prior to start date
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, as the customer will process this upon start date
  • U.S. Citizen

Salary Range for this position: $85K to $95K

Pay Range:

Pay Range $59,150.00 - $91,000.00 - $122,850.00
