General Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Specialized Transportation Director, the Specialized Transportation Van Driver will transport students with disabilities on "to and from school" routes. Students are transported in vans or vehicles that are rated to transport 10 or fewer passengers.

Salary:
The full hourly range for regular School Bus Drivers is $21.82 - $22.27. Offers are made at the entry level of the range.

Assignment:
This position will be part-time, working at least 20 hours per week. The position is on a school year schedule, there will be no work during school breaks (winter, spring, summer). The position will be based out of Longview, WA to support transportation needs for Quest Academy students.

Essential Functions:

• Operate the ESD 112 vehicle in accordance with the State of Washington laws and ESD and program policies and procedures.
• Drive the ESD vehicle on scheduled routes and/or all trips and approved activities.
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative communication with students, parents, school staff, peers, and supervisors.
• Inspect, clean, and request maintenance service for the vehicle(s) and related equipment.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions which require the attention of any person other than the driver.
• Contribute to and cooperate with the classroom instructional team including the teacher, related services staff, other educational assistants.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to successfully complete state required driver training and to acquire and maintain a valid first aid and CPR card.
