Fixed Term 6 months, Full time 35 hours per week

Edinburgh University Sports Union (EUSU) seeks a highly organised and proactive Sport Participation Activator to join the team to support the delivery of activity, primarily focused on increasing participation in sport and physical activity. The role will help to develop and maintain the engagement of students in sport at Edinburgh University Sports Union (EUSU) as well as an array of administrative tasks to maximise the efficiency and professionalism across all its activity.

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in student sport at one of the UK’s most successful sporting universities. The post holder will report to the Sports Programme Manager and work closely within our small team at the Sports Union and with colleagues from the wider university network.

This position will help drive forward the success and exceptional reputation of Edinburgh University Sports Union (EUSU) by supporting the growth of recreational sport through event delivery and administration support. The role will support a number of areas within the sports programme. The Sports Union offers a welcoming and development focused staff team and the chance to work with our 65 sports clubs and 10,000+ student participants.

Your skills and attributes for success:

· Organising straightforward information to assist in the effective organisation of sporting activities.

· Understanding of university sport and experience working or volunteering in sport.

· Highly organised and comfortable prioritising and planning tasks to ensure overall accuracy and efficiency.

· Flexible approach to duties and willingness to learn.

· Empathy with students and volunteers and an understanding of their needs.
