Hiring Immediately!

Soybean Associate

$17 M-F 8am-4:30pm with Saturday's at Peak Season

This is inside work until end of June and then will transition to outside work in July through August.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The technician will aid in the following activities of soybean breeding program but not limited to

• Seed processing activities, e.g. threshing plants and cleaning seeds after harvest, packaging samples, shipments preparation and inventory management.
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of field, lab equipment (e.g. label printer, seed counter), and plot threshers
• Help the team collect data and samples in the field at the home location and remote locations.
• The group practices a team approach; thus, the candidate may be asked to support other aspects of the breeding program during busy times.

REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES

• Always be with good work ethics and be dependable.
• Have willingness to learn and attention to detail in every task.
• Have effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Have effective organizational and time management skills.
• Be detail oriented, follow all company rules and policies.
• Be able to handle Microsoft Excel and data collection equipment and
• Be able to work both independently and collaboratively with co-workers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Ability to perform field work for long periods of times
• Must be able to work around corn & soybean pollen
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (i.e., rain, heat, humidity and cold).
