Our Information Services Division (ISD) is recruiting for a dynamic SQL Team Supervisor that can manage our Database infrastructure for the Database management Group!

Duties

As the SQL Team Supervisor you will be at the highest-level professional authority for the ISD Data Management Group. You will consult with the applications development teams and support activities for the ISD group. You and your team will be responsible for providing technical support for the database environment across the enterprise. In this position you will be responsible for the performance and stability of the databases and applications. You will be making key recommendations necessary to maintain security, functionality, and efficiency across statewide systems.

Some things you will be doing:

  • Hardware and software installations, configurations, and updates.
  • Troubleshooting software, hardware, and network problems.
  • Training data team in the use of hardware and software products.
  • Providing consultation regarding technology options to help meet the customer’s business requirements.
  • Researching multiple resources to provide efficient computing solutions to end-users.

Qualifications

What you will bring:
  • Eight (8) years of combined relevant education and experience in, Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience must include:
  • Five (5) years of experience in System administration and Windows server.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Database administration, using Microsoft SQL technology.
Experience can be obtained concurrently

Education to experience equivalency
Associates degree = 2 years | Bachelor’s degree = 4 years | Master's degree = 5 years

What may help set you apart
:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, OR closely allied field including 9 semester hours or 15 quarter hours in computer science courses from an accredited college or university.
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, OR closely allied field including 9 semester hours or 15-quarter hours in Computer Science and two (2) years of IT experience.
  • Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSC), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification, Azure.
  • Experience in Data Warehouse concepts and development.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Ten (10) years of IT experience analyzing customer requirements and developing complex statewide datacenter designs and solutions for multiple customers and stakeholders.
