The Squad leader will be responsible to drive the development and delivery of our applications.- The Squad Leader will serve as a highly visible point of contact to management leadership and collaborate with business stakeholders to create scalable software solutions.
- The Squad Leader will coach and facilitate cross functional squads to deliver solutions that result in improved value for our business, in close alignment with our strategy.
- Focused on transforming the way we work, this role gives the day-to-day responsibility to mentor and lead energized teams towards achieving great outcomes and maturing their capabilities.
- The leader will ensure that the squads are equipped with the appropriate skills, knowledge and resources they need to successfully deliver business outcomes.
- A guardian for agile ways of working, this leader will support squads to improve productivity through creativity, innovation, collaboration and decision making.
The main responsibilities of the position are:
- Setting the overall vision to direct and inform your squad’s work.
- Work closely with the developers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.
- Coordinating closely with your tribe leader to stay aligned on business goals and make sure your squad is progressing and delivering against them.
- Liaison between the business and the squad.
- Supporting and coaching your squad to reach their highest levels.
- Overseeing what is delivered by Product Owner prioritizing the work of the squad through a well-organized backlog of user stories and clearly communicating what needs to be done and by when.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in leading teams, coaching and mentoring.
- Experience in shipping a web-based product and going through a full software development cycle.
- Java Development Background (J2EE, Spring, JavaScript)
- Experience with Cloud computing (AWS) and No SQL databases (Cassandra) is a big plus.
- Commitment to software practices of Continuous Integration and automated testing.
- Commitment to incorporating quality software practices into all phases of the project life lifecycle
- Understanding of key AGILE concepts and/or experience with leading or operating in an AGILE environment.
- Experience leading cross-functional AGILE teams.
- Experience in leading teams through change.
- Demonstrated ability to grow talent and leverage teams effectively for optimal success.
- Proven track record of strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
