L3Harris Technologies plant in Waco has recently won contracts to modify USAF platforms utilized for special missions. We also currently have additional USAF platform support contracts though other DoD suppliers to sustain special missions fleet.
L3Harris is actively seeking for a Material Program Manager (MPM) for our facility located in Waco, TX for a direct opportunity. We have great competitive benefits and a generous relocation package.
The MPM will be expected to join the Special Aircraft and Systems Program Office to oversee the material requirements for a major military program. The MPM would oversee all material requirements and the material financial reporting and accountability of the material budget.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
- Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
- Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
- Plans, schedules and monitors the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
- Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and coordinates material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
- Utilizes Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- May negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery.
- May interpret laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for export/import control certifications and licenses.
- Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management.
- May manage projects or processes with general supervision.
- Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
- Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
Qualifications:
- Able to obtain a US Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Strong knowledge of SAP
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel/Office
Preferred Additional Skills:
Requires broad job knowledge typically obtained through 8 - 10 years of hands on experience in lieu of a college degree.
Experience with material management
Experience with DoD aircraft/military programs
- Ability to prepare program briefing packages and to brief to Senior Management
