Janssen is seeking a Sr. Director Commercial Effectiveness & Business Solutions, located in Titusville, NJ to play a critical role in the success of our commercial field organization. This leader will identify, develop, and implement initiatives to increase team performance and manage gaps, focusing on effective utilization of field initiatives and resources. They will be responsible for driving execution with internal business stakeholders and external strategic partners to drive effectiveness and competitiveness across teams supporting Janssen’s field efforts.


Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional partners to diagnose and identify key opportunities and challenges, developing solution-oriented strategic plans to optimize the effectiveness, growth, and launch of Janssen brands [2].

Partner with Sales & Marketing leadership to translate market trends, competitive insights and customer feedback into new initiatives and create innovative ways of working.

Set direction and tone for the team, fostering an inclusive, diverse, and innovative approach when providing service to customers. Build strong collaborative relationships with suppliers and partners.

Build effective working relationships with key business partners, determining desired services, budget constraints, timeframes, and expectations.

Develop, coach, and lead direct reports, providing developmental opportunities to expand their experiences and technical knowledge.

Business Acumen : Utilize research and data to drive organizational action and integrate various sources of information into comprehensive strategies.

Vendor Management: Interface with external providers to drive value and maintain relationships for supplier innovation and continuous improvement.

Strategic Partnering & Resource Management: Work effectively through internal and external partnerships to accomplish goals and efficiently utilize resources.

Talent Management: Attract and develop diverse talent committed to growth by creating an inclusive environment, challenging the status quo and creating a performance- driven environment.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree is required with a focus on Business, Pharma/Biotech or Healthcare preferred.; Advanced degree preferred
  • Candidates should have a proven track record of success with a minimum of 10 years cross functional experience in key Commercial & Sales Leadership roles (ex. Sales, marketing, strategic marketing, payer/access experience, analytics, Learning & Development)
  • Demonstrated high level of commercial capabilities and clear cycles of success in prior commercial roles
  • Very strong direct people management / leadership experience required, including prior experience leading management level teams is required.
  • Ability to lead, develop, coach and engage high performing, diverse teams is required. Very strong communication skills required.
  • Pharmaceutical industry and/or Healthcare experience is required; experience in a Therapeutic Area relevant to Janssen’s portfolio is preferred. Experience in a regulated environment is a plus.
  • Domestic and international travel required up to 25%

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $160,000 to $276,000. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
