Job description
The Senior HRIS Director directs the functional development and implementation of technical automation solutions. Identifies new and emerging technology that can be used to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes. Research and studies best practices and makes recommendations for changes and automation needs for the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees all aspects of the organization’s human resource information systems.
- Directs the design, delivery and support of organization HR system(s) and interfaces, including but not limited to third party vendor systems, Oracle, UKG Dimensions, Kronos, ADP, SABA, Benefit Admin Systems.
- Plans, develops, directs, implements special projects and on-going human resources information needs and objectives.
- Recommends, implements, and plans for improvements, enhancements, and new applications to HR processes.
- Provides Human Resources knowledge with internal partners on best practices for efficiencies and automation.
- Guides the development of technical estimates, work plans, methodologies, and deliverables.
- Manages and mitigates risk in human resources information system projects.
- Oversees the daily operations of the HRIS team by guiding, coaching and providing direction and oversight of long-term and day-to-day activities of the team.
- Primary contact with the IT team.
- Promotes a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop process improvements with documented processes to improve efficiency.
- Achieves financial objectives by maintaining departmental operational budget; scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective activities.
- Must work well as part of a team, get along with others, follow lawful directions and instructions the first time, follow all company policies and procedures, and ask questions to clarify instructions.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Three HRIS analysts, and one HR specialist
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Advanced educational degree or equivalent work experience, education concentration in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is preferred.
- Ten+ years’ related experience
- Experience with HRIS systems such as Oracle Fusion, Workday, PeopleSoft.
- Experience working with cross functional global projects and/or teams.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Additional knowledge and skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
