We currently have an opening for a Sr. Electrical Engineer. This position will work within the Cardiac Surgery Product Development & Engineering team and play key role in the design and development of next generation medical devices for Cardiac Surgery applications.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Responsible for the detailed electrical design of instrumentation circuits and electronic components for medical devices, including schematic and PCB layout
• Evaluate design choices to select the most effective design to meet project objectives
• Perform technical reviews throughout the product development cycle
• Provide technical guidance on system test cases and implementation.
• Develop action plans to identify and resolve issues that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
• Participate in cross-functional design team meetings
• Provide mentorship for junior engineers

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 10 years of product design/integration/testing experience, preferably in the Medical Device industry
• Masters’ degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field is a plus
• Expertise in board level circuit design and wireless communications.
• Experience with Power Supply design engineering a plus.
• Experience working across disciplines and with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Knowledge or embedded systems as well as system firmware/design a plus
• Strong communication skills
