POSITION OVERVIEW
The Global Commercial COE Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for leading all Marketing spend COE activities for Marketing Development funds, Slotting, and Retailer Search. This includes support of management reporting, annual strategic and operating plan, budget, monthly/quarterly forecast, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and explanation of actual monthly results, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, and SOX administration. This position oversees the Canada cost center and balance sheet management and is responsible for providing key financially driven insights to cross functional business partners, and actively participates in both short and long-term decision-making activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Serving as the primary business partner for the Trade Marketing and Marketing Excellence teams to execute strategic initiatives and business planning
Managing the MDF, Slotting, and Retailer Search spend
Summarizing and presenting of monthly Profit Day reports and quarterly S&OP forecast reporting for total Marketing spend
Acting as a strategic partner for incremental funding approvals for MDF & Slotting through CAC process and/or leadership approvals
Oversight of A&P and Coupon spend lines, providing monthly business reporting and analysis versus forecast, budget, and prior year with support from a Finance Rotational Analyst
Using critical thinking in decision making process to draw upon professional experience, market and industry knowledge, data and intuition, then applying to make decisions
Interacting with cross-functional teams and various management levels to ensure alignment for forecast and O&R process and presenting analysis and key findings
Utilizing financial reporting best practices to meet the needs of functional leaders, external authorities, and the stakeholders of the Company
Ad-hoc projects as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting, Financial, or equivalent business function analysis
Demonstrated thorough knowledge of the capabilities of transaction & reporting systems including, but not limited to Hyperion, TM1, SAP, Business Warehouse, or other local systems
In-depth understanding of available reporting drill down capabilities, and ability to organize data in a way that adds value to analysis
Intermediate/Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
Interpersonal (written and verbal) communications skills with a demonstrated ability to work across functions & cultures, and interact with all levels of the organization
Self-management of assigned workload – ability to plan and meet deadlines under pressure
Self-starter and proactive in initiating action steps
