We have an opportunity for a Senior Oracle Developer, this is a remote opportunity in the United States. In-depth Technical knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports, libraries, objects, menus. Technical knowledge of network firewalls and understanding of how they are implemented to provide secure enclaves to protect server and database resources.

Applicants responding to this position must be a US Citizen and may be subjected to a government security investigation which requires possessing the ability to view classified government information, background checks and drug screening. All applicants applying must have lived in the US for the past 5 years and cannot have traveled out of the country more than 6 months (cumulatively) in the past five years. (Military Service excluded).

Job Descriptions:

• Under general direction, leads and participates in the development and maintenance of database systems while also providing database development services to the development team.
• Required to review and provide technical solutions to projects which may be in different stages of the development life cycle.
• As part of consulting activities, produces database-related analyses and technical documentation to support recommended solutions.
• Able to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program.
• Works on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s).
• Able to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in software development, database design, database administration, and/or related field.
• In-depth Technical knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports, libraries, objects, menus.
• Technical expertise in writing and tuning complex SQL Queries.
• Technical expertise in writing and tuning PL/SQL.
• Expert knowledge of the Unix operating system and shell scripting.
• Technical knowledge of WebSphere.
• Technical knowledge of network firewalls and understanding of how they are implemented to provide secure enclaves to protect server and database resources.
• Technical knowledge of security certificates and how they are used to protect transmission of data between various computer devices.
• Experience upgrading both Oracle Database and OFM software, and knowledge of tuning them.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle database objects, triggers, packages, functions, procedures, tables etc.
• Knowledge of software tools to manage application development and testing – Toad, SQL Developer, Oracle Forms and Reports Builder.
• Expert ability to perform analysis of customer requirements and design technical solutions.
• Ability to perform project management functions.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools such as VersionOne.
• Knowledge of and experience in an IT Service management System (preferably ServiceNow) and ITIL processes.
• Ability to lead / mentor junior developers on development projects.
• Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with designing, constructing, and maintaining large relational database systems.
• Extensive experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server DBMS, SQL Language, Unix/Linux including basic shell commands, data warehousing, report generation, job scheduling and monitoring tools, XML, HTML, open-source development, and technical documenting skills (Windows Office/Visio/Cvs, etc.).
• Advanced Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server certification required.
• Extensive experience producing database-related documentation such as technical analyses and technical designs.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

Education:

• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred.
